This vet is AMAZING. They’re so attentive, polite, patient, and kind. They are very empathetic and take great care of your pet. They even had dog toys, calm music, and a super clean environment for our puppy! I bet our dog didn’t even know he was at the doctors. We have been to many many vets in the past, and this is by far the best place. Also, Natalie is great!!

The people here are amazing, especially with nervous dogs! And during a chat with the vet, we got three really good tips for various issues we've been having.

Our dog is very vet reactive and our behaviorist recommended that we move to this practice a few years ago. What a fantastic recommendation that's been, because this place is incredible. Everything at this practice is set up with the animals' comfort in mind. There's no waiting room, and only one pet is allowed in the lobby at a time. Treatments are done in the room with you whenever possible, and the rooms themselves are stocked with treats, toys, and soft bedding. Vet offices usually see the worst of our older dog, but everyone at this practice has been incredibly kind, patient, and creative when treating him, and they are always happy to see us. The doctors are wonderful of course, but I especially want to highlight the nurses and front desk staff. Every nurse we've worked with has been willing to work with my wacky distraction ideas during injections, done gymnastics to give vaccines to a thrashing dog, and been thoughtful and practical about which vitals are realistic to do. During exams, they're always ready with treats and pets to help anxious pets feel a little calmer. And the admin team are so on the ball - they have detailed notes on your animal's specific needs, and I have never needed to remind them that we need a sedated exam or extra time for shots. They're pros at scheduling, and quick to put in prescription renewals. And they let us keep a card on file to minimize time in the office. This is probably the only front desk I _enjoy_ calling. Fairfax Veterinary Hospital has been an amazing partner in treating our two dogs, and we're so lucky to have found them.

If my dog could pick her favorite vet care ever ... it would be Fairfax Veterinary Hospital, no contest -- and her human agrees! They did not overlook one detail in their no-fear approach or their human customer service approach. All those extras added to the care was not felt in the price either. Why choose a comparable vet without the extras or the additional integrative training when it is needed? I also appreciate all the additional info for her senior health and conditioning. Having homework is always a good thing.

I kind of dread taking my senior cat to the vet, it’s always expensive, there’s always something not quite right but no real solution is given and I always walk away feeling a little defeated and sad. Yesterday was the first time I actually walked out feeling good about what I paid, the care he received and the direction we are going to address some health concerns. I can’t thank the care team enough, they were awesome and I look forward to continuing care here. It’s expensive but you aren’t just pay for a vet, you are paying for a team of people that care and do everything they can to show you that. Thanks for being awesome.
